We absolutely love family restaurants. It’s so convenient eating at restaurants that cater to children because it takes off so much pressure for me as a mother of 5. My children are usually loud and it’s nice when restaurants are acceptable to this.

Marco Island also knows as Paradise Coast has some of the freshest seafood there is. While on our trip we stayed at one of the most gorgeous resorts on the coast. Our resort was situated directly on this lovely island. If you haven’t checked out that post, I urge you to do so. It was absolutely amazing!

Although we stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo that included a full kitchen there were a few nights that I didn’t feel like cooking. Therefore, I began looking into nearby restaurants.

We had the opportunity to visit Pinchers Restaurant, the popular southern food chain. While visiting Marco Island we had a wide selection of seafood restaurants to choose from. There were many that varied on affordability.

We chose Pinchers because they had an awesome deal that we just couldn’t resist. Kids ate free every day of the week! Being that we have 5 children, this was definitely a steal for us!

We arrived at the local restaurant and to our surprise, the restaurant was jammed packed! There was an hour wait. However, we were determined and decided to wait it out. We took the opportunity to walk around the area and admire the paradise coast.

After the hour wait, we were good and hungry. There were both outside and inside dining however, outside dining was on a long wait. Therefore, we settled for inside dining. Everyone was very pleasant as they greeted us. I noticed that all of the dining staff and hostess wore face masks due to the pandemic. They made certain to sanitize the dining area constantly after guests were coming and going.

The service was exceptional. After being sat only a minute, our server came over and greeted us. She wrote her name on the tablecloth and asked us if we have been there before. The server then gave us the rundown of their current deals and promotions. They are we were informed about the two for one drinks. She also explained the promotion of kids eating free. Each child gets a free meal with one paying adult. Therefore two of my children were able to eat completely free.

Happy Hour Specials

This family restaurant absolutely has the best happy hour special there is. First of all, they have happy hour drinks all day. The special is 2 for 1 drinks all day, every day. From 3-6 pm they also have happy hour foods such as oysters, clams, shrimp, and wings for $.99 each. Only thing is that the orders are sold in multiples of 6. We ordered wings for the first time in a year. We ordered mild wings and they were good.

For Starters

We decided to start our evening with an order of Oysters. We typically don’t eat raw food with the kids therefore, we order them grilled. They were good. However, we typically order our oysters seasoned with garlic and cheese or Rockefeller style. Unfortunately, this family restaurant was all out of Rockefeller’s style.

We also started with their famous Hot Crab and Cheese Dip. This dip was a little bit special because it came with endless chips! We totally loved this! Unfortunately, the chips go entirely too fast with all my children! Therefore, we definitely appreciated the extra chips. It was absolutely amazing and cheesy. I enjoyed spicy kicked it had as well.

Main Entrees

This family restaurant was definitely my favorite because the portion sizes were large. I typically like to dip on everyone’s plate and this was convenient because it was enough. Usually, my Antwan gets annoyed when I do this. However, this time he didn’t quite mind it so much.

we ordered Fish and Chips. You could never go wrong with fish and chips. It also came with a side of coleslaw. I also ordered their special fresh catch of the day which was fried grouper.

We tried an order of their Boom Boom shrimp and trust me, you’ll love it! They were so good! I honestly think it was the best dish on the menu!

Kid’s Menu

Pinchers has a great menu for kids. There about 7 kid dishes available for children under 12 years old. They have things like spaghetti, chicken fingers, Mac & cheese and other kid’s favorites. I ordered my children shrimp and fries. The kids meals also comes with complimentary soft drinks.

The Ultimate Takeaway

This family restaurant was awesome. We really enjoyed our evening here. The food was hot and delicious. The service was impeccable. Unfortunately, the only thing I really wouldn’t order again would be the oysters. They really didn’t have much flavor.

Therefore, if you’re looking for oysters with seasoning do not order these. Most of all, there’s so much on this menu to enjoy. There’s literally something for everyone on their menu.
