Spread the love

Not sure if you’ve heard it or not, but outside is back open and we took a road trip to Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center all the way in Nashville, Tennessee!
Before I go into details about this amazing hotel, I have to give the back story about this unexpected 8 hour trip from Jacksonville, Florida to Nashville, Tennessee with our crew.

Unexpected Road Trip

We have always heard amazing things about the Gaylord Family Resorts. Therefore, a few months ago we made a decision to visit the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando. With that in mind, I booked reservations back in May for travel in June to visit this amazing resort. However, on the day that we were supposed to check-in, I looked at my reservation just to confirm everything was set up, and to my surprise, I quickly noticed that the resort that we booked with was not in Orlando and it was actually in Nashville, Tennessee.

Road Trip Chronicles

Can you imagine the anxiety that I felt that morning, preparing my family for a trip that we were supposed to travel two hours turned into an unexpected 8-hour road trip to Nashville, Tennessee! Immediately, we thought about canceling the trip. However, we had already prepared ourselves, boarded our dogs, and our truck was already packed. Therefore, we decided to just take the trip to Nashville Tennessee, and make it a road trip since we’ve never been.

Arriving At Gaylord Opryland

Oh my goodness! Let me just tell you, prepare yourself because this resort is absolutely gorgeous! As soon as you arrive, you’re greeted by the amazing valet staff. The atrium is literally breathtaking! It’s so beautiful. The entire ambiance is filled with amazing country music playing, and you’re sounded by a garden of beautiful plants everywhere. It literally gave me rainforest vibes. I seriously felt like I’d just arrived at a tropical rainforest.

Gaylord Opryland Rooms

This 2,888- room hotel offers everything in one place! Our rooms were absolutely beautiful. We’ve stayed in the Cascades Atrium and our rooms faced the garden atrium.

I truly enjoyed the view from my balcony. I would sit out on the balcony in the morning, and check my emails for work. It was so peaceful. Unfortunately, I can’t find any photos of our rooms but I do have this TikTok Room Tour and a photo of us enjoying the balcony.

Dining at Gaylord Opryland Resort

One thing about this resort is that you will literally never go hungry. I truly felt like this resort is a small city inside of Nashville. It was massive! They are literally 18 restaurants, about 5 bars, and a host of dessert eateries. Trust me, we definitely found ourselves lost a few times trying to find our way back to our rooms. We enjoyed a daily buffet at the American Café. It was absolutely delicious. For lunch, we’d enjoyed Paisano.

The food was amazing!

Shopping at the Resort

My favorite part is that the resort is set up in such a way that you don’t really have to leave the resort. They have a market store on site where you can buy everyday grocery items and deli sandwiches. They also have a gift shop located in the Delta Island area, where you can buy some pretty amazing souvenirs.

Entertainment for Children at the Resort

One thing is for sure, there is enough entertainment for the entire family. This summer Gaylord Opryland Resort is entertaining guests like no other! There are a few arcades, as well as a brand new Pirate & Princess theme.

SoundWave Upscale Indoor/Outdoor Water Attraction

They have their 4-acre upscale indoor/outdoor aquatic adventures, and multiple pools, just to name a few! The water attraction is not your ordinary water park though. No, it’s filled with a lazy river, a four-lane mat racer, a wave pool, and five thrilling tube and body slides. It’s absolutely a summertime must!

Put this amazing resort on your list and make your way to Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Although my family and I stayed for only 3 nights, without a doubt we would have loved to have stayed even longer. We loved our experience so much, we are planning another road trip back to Nashville, and we’ll be booking another stay at this amazing hotel! This resort may have been one of the best my family has visited thus far.
